West Fraser Nominated as One of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People

The company was recognized for its dedication to empower young people to challenge themselves.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster):  West Fraser has been nominated as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People for 2021 in the editorial competition organized by the Canada's Top 100 Employers project. The special designation recognizes the employers that offer the nation's best workplaces and programs for young people just starting their careers. This is the fifth time that the company has been selected for the prestigious award.

The company was recognized for its dedication to empower young people to challenge themselves. It runs a partnership with the College of New Caledonia in offering apprentice ships for millwrights, electricians, heavy duty mechanics and saw filers. Also, the company’s “New and Young Worker Program” provides dedicated training with supervisor to employees under the age of 25.
