Viraj Profile Ltd Launches its New Stainless SRM Plant in Maharashtra

NEW DELHI (Scrap Monster): Viraj Profile Limited, the world’s second largest manufacturer of stainless steel long products and first in stainless steel flanges, launched its new Section Rolling Mill (SRM) plant in Maharashtra, India.

The plant is completely equipped with automatic systems and in the country it is first of its kind on an industrial scale. The plant has a unique facility of online pickling and automatic labeling inter-alia packaging line. This facilities it to make more than seven hundred various designs and shapes of stainless steel angles, flats etc.

On the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Neeraj Raja Kocchar, Chairman and MD of the company said that they are pleased in the new long term project and by starting the new plant, the company has entered into a new industrial dimension of its history. Viraj Profile Limited has already made a remarkable place in the industries by manufacturing high quality stainless steel wire rods, fasteners, flanges, profiles, wires and bars.

Mr. Neeraj Raj added that they wanted to offer their customers with good quality products in a quicker and faster way and that is how they conceptualized the need of fully automatic Section Rolling Mill. The annual capacity of the mill will be about 180,000 tonnes per annum.
