SDI Honored by Forbes as One of World’s Best Employers

The list was prepared on the basis of independent surveys carried out by Forbes and Statista among approximately 150,000 employees working in more than 55 counties around the world.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Fort Wayne, Indiana-based Steel Dynamics, Inc. (SDI) has been selected as one of the world’s best employers for 2021 by Forbes. It is one among 236 U.S.-based businesses to make it into the prestigious list. Moreover, it is the only U.S. steel producer to receive the designation. The 2021 list comprises of nearly 750 companies across the globe.

The list was prepared on the basis of independent surveys carried out by Forbes and Statista among approximately 150,000 employees working in more than 55 counties around the world. The employees were asked to rate their employers on various criteria such as image, trust, gender equality, corporate social responsibility, culture and benefits, based on which the companies were ranked. Subsequently, the 750 companies that received the highest total scores made it into the final list.
Mark D. Millet, President and Chief Executive Officer said that the company is especially honoured by the recognition. He commended the dedicated employees, whose drive, commitment and innovation have helped the company to grow and better serve its customers. He also thanked its customers and communities.
