SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Michigan City-based D. Martin Enterprises announced major expansion plans. The company intends to build a new manufacturing facility at an investment of approximately $20 million. The new manufacturing operation will serve the Northwest Indiana region.

Leading provider of products and services to electric arc furnaces (EAFs), D. Martin Enterprises currently employs nearly 100 workers. The setting up of the new plant will add additional 30 jobs over the next two-year period. The facility will be centrally located, making it a preferred choice for many of the mills in the region, noted Cassie Martin Graham, Vice-President of Operations.
