SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): City of Kingman officials, including Mayor Ken Watkins and Councilmembers Shawn Savage and Smiley Ward, joined representatives from Nucor Corporation to celebrate the grand opening of Nucor’s new state-of-the-art melt shop located just outside Kingman in Mohave County.
The $100 million investment marks a major milestone in regional economic growth, adding 160 new full-time jobs with an average annual wage of $85,000. The facility will have the capacity to produce up to 600,000 tons of steel annually, further strengthening Nucor’s position as a leader in sustainable steel production and advanced manufacturing.
