SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Steel Dynamics, Inc., located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been named one of Corporate Knights' 2025 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations. The business became the leader in the steelmaking sector and was placed 29th overall.
Mark D. Millett, the company's co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer, commented on the accomplishment, saying that its staff' exceptional enthusiasm and spirit of excellence have made it one of the most sustainable companies in the world. He continued by saying that the company's employees' motivation and commitment had helped it achieve the highest operational and financial performance standards and to become a leader in sustainability.

The list of the 2025 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations was created by carefully evaluating more than 8,300 publicly traded businesses with annual sales of more than $1 billion. Twenty-five critical performance metrics were used to evaluate the companies.
With $17.5 billion in net sales, $1.9 billion in operating income, and $2.5 billion in adjusted EBITDA for the prior year, the company demonstrated strong operational and financial performance across all of its operating platforms. At 12.7 million tons, it also registered the second-highest steel shipments.
