BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices mostly remained flat, with a few categories recording modest gains on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Thursday, December 11, 2025.
The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing witnessed a jump in prices of CNY 400 per MT each over the previous day.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also edged higher by CNY 400 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 200 per MT.
The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery recorded an increase of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were flat on the Index.
Cu/Al Radiators and Heater Cores prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT and CNY 150 per MT respectively as of Thursday, December 11, 2025.
In the meantime, Harness Wire 35% Recovery, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices recorded no variation on the Index.
6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots prices also held steady on the Index.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers were unchanged on the Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices were flat over the previous day.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices recorded no fluctuation as of December 11, 2025.
UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices held steady from the previous day’s price.
#1 HMS prices held steady as of December 11, 2025.
Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.
310 SS prices witnessed no change on the Index.
Also, 316 SS Solid and Shred SS scrap prices were flat as of Thursday, December 11, 2025.
