September 30, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Saw Marginal Increase on the Index

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady over the previous day.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices witnessed no change on ScrapMonster Price Index as of Monday, September 30, 2024. Copper and Stainless Steel scrap prices were up from the previous day. Meanwhile, Brass, Bronze and Steel scrap prices held steady.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 100 per MT.
#1 Copper Wire and Tubing price saw a jump of CNY 100 per MT.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 100 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day’s price. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery witnessed no change when compared with the day before.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were unchanged.
Cu/Al Radiators saw no change in prices.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady over the previous day.
Heater Cores were flat on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed no change on the Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions recorded no variation in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots also remained unchanged.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices were unmoved on the Index.
Old Cast prices were flat on September 30, 2024.
The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on the Index.
Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on September 30, 2024.
Cast Iron Scrap also reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices went higher by CNY 100 per MT on the Index.
304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices were up by CNY 150 per MT each on the Index.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices increased by CNY 200 per MT each when compared with the prior day’s price.
310 SS scrap prices were up by CNY 300 per MT as of September 30, 2024.
Shred SS prices witnessed a jump of CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no change from the previous day.
Brass Radiator scrap prices were unchanged as of Monday, September 30, 2024.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were flat on Index.
