March 7, 2025: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Up Slightly on the Index

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices were up by CMY 100 per MT on the Index.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese Aluminum and Brass/Bronze scrap prices witnessed no change on ScrapMonster Price Index as of Friday, March 7, 2025. Copper and Stainless Steel scrap prices were up from the previous day. Meanwhile, Steel scrap prices held steady on the Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 50 per MT.
#1 Copper Wire and Tubing price saw a jump of CNY 50 per MT.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 50 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were flat over the previous day’s price. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery witnessed no variation when compared with the day before.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were unchanged on the Index.
Cu/Al Radiators prices held steady over the day.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were flat upon comparison with the previous day.
Heater Cores prices recorded no change on Friday, March 7, 2025.
In the meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed no change on the Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions recorded no variation in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots also remained unchanged.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices were unmoved on the Index.
Old Cast prices were flat on March 7, 2025.
The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on the Index.
Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on March 7, 2025.
Cast Iron Scrap also reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices inched higher by CNY 50 per MT on the Index.
304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices were up by CMY 100 per MT on the Index.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices recorded a jump of CNY 150 per MT each when compared with the prior day.
310 SS scrap prices also were up by CNY 200 per MT as of March 7, 2025.
Shred SS prices witnessed a jump of CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no change from the previous day.
Brass Radiator scrap prices were flat as of Friday, March 7, 2025.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices recorded no change on the Index.
