5th January, 2018-North American Scrap Metal Prices Dropped Marginally on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices dropped marginally on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on January 5^th, Friday. Aluminum and Copper scrap prices declined on Index. Brass and Bronze scrap prices held steady over the previous day. Meantime, Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices too remained unchanged.

Copper Scrap Prices

Alternator prices remained flat when compared with the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing slipped by $0.03 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.03 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright also went lower by $ 0.03 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined marginally by $0.01 per Lb. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were down by $0.01 per Lb from the previous day prices. #3 Copper-Light copper prices dropped sharply by $0.03 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator registered decline of $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Copper Transformer, Cu Yokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends scrap prices witnessed no change over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.

Meanwhile, Romex Wire prices saw decline of $0.01 per Lb on January 5^th.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices decreased by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of Heater Cores too witnessed marginal decline of $0.01 per Lb.

Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed units remained unchanged.

Starters and Xmas Lights declined too witnessed no change over the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices declined by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of 3003 Scrap too fell $0.01 per Lb. A down move of $0.01 per Lb was witnessed in 356 Aluminum Wheels. Meantime, 6063 Extrusions and 6063 Extrusions/Fe, 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions prices fell by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators dropped by $0.01 per Lb from the previous day. Al/Cu Radiators/Fe prices declined by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of Aluminum Radiators too were down by $0.01 per Lb.

Aluminum Radiators/Fe , Aluminum Transformer and Breakage 50% Recovery held steady over the previous day on January 5^th.

Chrome Wheels and Litho Sheets too witnessed decline of $0.01 each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices slipped by $0.02 per Lb.

The prices of Mixed Aluminum Turnings saw no change.

MLC Clips declined marginally by $0.01 per Lb.

Old Sheet, Old Cast, Painted Siding and UBC prices were down marginally by $0.01 per Lb each.

Zorba 90% NF prices saw no change.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat at $345 per MT.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 5^th January, 2018.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $260 per MT.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices held steady.

304 SS Solid prices remained unchanged at $0.49 per Lb over the previous day. 309 SS prices too reported no change in prices.

304 SS Turning witnessed no variation in prices on 5^th January, 2018.

310 SS and 330 SS prices remained unchanged on Index.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices were flat at $0.71 per Lb.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region remained totally flat on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices reported no change in prices on Thursday, January 5^th, 2018.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too remained flat on Index.
