Madison's Lumber Prices Index drops to $505 mfbm

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Madison's Lumber Prices Index for the week ending September 25, 2026, reached US$505 per thousand board feet, marking a 2% decrease of $9 from the previous week's US$514, according to Madison's Lumber Reporter.

The index also fell 3% or $13 from one month ago when it stood at US$518.

Madison's constructs the index using the same species as futures – Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir, and Hem-Fir – with weighted averages based on North American production volume ratios over recent years.
