Waterfront Place hotel in Morgantown announced a donation of $25000 to Remember The Miners for its public awareness campaign dedicated to telling the story of America's real source of energy, the coal miner.

WEST VIRGINIA (Scrap Monster): Waterfront Place hotel in Morgantown announced a donation of $25000 to Remember The Miners for its public awareness campaign dedicated to telling the story of America's real source of energy, the coal miner.

There was a reception hosted by Remember The Miners and The Water Front Place Hotel on February 8th to celebrate the new partnership.

Waterfront Place Hotel was the venue for signature events of Remember The Miners, including The Miners Tribute Concert in November 2010, the COAL TV show series première, and the Inaugural Bob Huggins Fish Fry.

Dan Watts, General Manager, Waterfront Place Hotel said that they is pleased to support Remember The Miners.

Jason Parsons, president of Remember The Miners said," We appreciate their support and generous contribution as we strive to continue to build our campaign to tell the story of coal mining and what it means for America."

Remember The Miners Scholars Program in partnership with the West Virginia Coal Foundation was launched to support the families of West Virginia mining community. Awardees of the scholarship are miners, dependents of miners, or students pursuing higher education in the mining industry.
