Pure Gold's Red Lake Mine  Receives Air & Noise Permit

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Vancouver-headquartered Pure Gold Mining Inc. announced that its Red Lake, Ontario mine has received milestone permit from provincial authorities. The amended air and noise permit was issued by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP).

The amended permit approval sets new limits for air and noise emissions for mining and milling operations at the mine. The company is now awaiting an amended industrial effluent permit, for which the initial review is already completed. Pure Gold Mining has applied for accelerated approval process, the company press release noted.

The company is just months away from the first gold pour, which is scheduled for Q4 this year. It is continuing exploration drilling on the property. The equipment installation works as well as work on upgrades at the surface are also in full swing. The hiring process is also in progress, as per the latest update provided on 25th June, the company has recruited 89 out of the total 101 employees planned before end-June.

Darin Labrenz, President and CEO of PureGold noted that the company has been working closely with the First Nations, local communities and regulators to materially advance the project. The mine is expected to generate over $470 million in direct salaries over the life of the phase 1 mine, providing significant economic benefits to the local communities and surrounding region.
