SEATTLE (Waste 360): The Pratt Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Australia-based packaging company Visy Industries, is donating $1 million for COVID-19 treatment. The donation, which is led by Anthony Pratt, chairman of Visy Industries and Pratt Industries, is being provided to the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity at the University of Melbourne and will be used to trial two existing drugs that may help those infected with the coronavirus.
According to Visy, the trial will commence on April 6 and involve 2,440 people over 60 days in 60 hospitals across Australia and New Zealand.
