The global partnership between the two companies is expected to commence with immediate effect and run until commercialization.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Dow has partnered with the Procter & Gamble (P&G) to reach a joint development agreement (JDA) towards creation of a new, innovative recycling technology, mainly aimed at recycling hard-to-recycle plastic packaging. The two companies will make best use of their patented technologies and expertise in the dissolution process, which in turn will deliver high quality post-consumer recycled (PCR) polymer. This PCR polymer will be used by P&G in their packaging. This will enable path to circularity by ensuring maximum use of resources and reducing generation of waste. The global partnership between the two companies is expected to commence with immediate effect and run until commercialization.

The decades of expertise in materials science, manufacturing capabilities and large-scale supply chain management of both the companies will contribute to the development of the new technology.

Both the companies have pledged their commitment to promotion of circularity solutions. Dow targets to commercialize three million metric tons of circular and renewable solutions by 2030, whereas P&G aims to use 100% consumer packaging designed to be recycled or reusable by the end of the current decade.
