SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Hard, Austria-headquartered plastics manufacturer and recycler ALPLA has announced expansion of its U.S. manufacturing footprint with a new plastic packaging facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
The company plans to begin operations at the 13,000-square-meter facility in spring 2027. Located at the Craig Road Logistics Center, the plant will manufacture plastic bottles using extrusion blow moulding technology, which will serve both domestic and international customers. The facility will supply packaging solutions for several industries, including food and beverages, health and beauty, and home care.

The new site will become ALPLA’s second manufacturing operation in the western United States. The new strategic location is expected to improve access to major transportation routes and regional distribution networks, thus ensuring shorter delivery times and a more efficient response to changing customer requirements.
The North Las Vegas project will also create 36 local jobs. With the addition of the new facility, ALPLA’s U.S. network will now comprise 19 locations.
Commenting on the development, Tasos Pourloukakis, regional managing director of ALPLA North America, said the investment forms part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its North American production network and provide increased flexibility for its customers.
