SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The latest earnings report published by Hong Kong-based Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Ltd. highlights the company’s focus on ensuring supply of high-quality raw materials.

The company is currently building its first fully integrated pulp and paper mill in the Hubei province of China, whose pulp production capacity is estimated at 0.6 million metric tons per year. Also, the company plans to add 0.6 million metric tons of pulp production capacity in Shenyang, China. The group’s consolidated kraft pulp and recycled pulp production capacity is estimated to exceed 2 million metric tons by end-2022. By this period, the company’s total paper production capacity is expected to touch 19.32 million metric tons per year.

ND Paper- the company’s subsidiary has already invested nearly $35 million in the new warehouse and distribution facility in Mount Peasant, Wisconsin. This facility is expected to complement the company’s Biron, Wisconsin paper mill. Additionally, the company plans to add packaging facilities at its Chengdu and Chonqing packaging plants. The company will continue its efforts to expand production capacities at its carton box plants.

The company expressed the hope of achieving steady growth in 2020, despite severe challenges faced by global economy and the Chinese paper packaging industry.

The company’s gross profit margin and net profit margin had increased by 2% and 1% respectively during the full fiscal year ended June 30th, 2020.
