SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): MM Board & Paper has agreed to acquire the operating business of RDM Group’s Arnsberg recycled cartonboard mill in Germany. The acquisition is expected to strengthen the company’s production network and expand its recycled cartonboard portfolio.
Both companies entered into an asset purchase agreement on August 17, 2026. The completion of the transaction is expected by the fourth quarter of 2026. The deal is subject to necessary clearance from antitrust authorities. Meanwhile, the financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Arnsberg facility has a capacity to produce approximately 230,000 tonnes of recycled cartonboard annually, with liner products forming a major part of its output. MM expects the acquisition to generate operational benefits by connecting the mill with its existing industrial operations in Germany. As part of the transaction, employees currently working at the Arnsberg mill will move to MM.
According to MM, combining Arnsberg with its cartonboard mills and packaging facilities will generate significant synergies. The company also expects the deal to provide greater manufacturing flexibility, strengthen supply reliability and expand the range of products and services available to customers.
The acquisition is in line with MM Group’s previously announced strategy of strengthening its core cartonboard business and expanding its industrial footprint in Germany.
