NY Electronics Recycler Declares First E-Waste Collection Event Since Covid-19 Shutdown

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Sunnking, the Brockport, New York-based electronics recycling company has announced its first electronics recycling collection since the Covid-19 shutdown.

The event will be held in Batavia on Saturday, August 1, in the parking lot of Genesee County Department of Social Services (5130 E. Main St., #3) from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Due to the rising costs of recycling and the crisis situation created by coronavirus pandemic, the company has requested for donation to provide the service. The event will be held, adhering to strict health and safety procedures. Another e-waste collection event is scheduled to be held at Webster, NY on August 29, 2020 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m in the Xerox Corporation parking lot (off Caracus Drive).

The residents are required to pre-register for free at https://www.sunnking.com/events/batavia-08-01-20. The recyclables must be neatly packed and loaded at the back of the vehicle. The customers are requested to drive through and stay in their vehicles. The materials will be unloaded by Sunnking team members.

There is a limit of four CRT monitors or televisions per vehicle.

Robert Burns, Director of Marketing for Sunnking noted that the signups to the event suggest that customers are eagerly waiting to get rid of their unwanted electronic waste, especially after the long lockdown period.
