SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Brockport, New York-headquartered Sunnking Inc. continues to run electronics recycling operations at its facilities, even in the midst of low-demand situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Adam Shine, Vice President, the company has been adapting itself to new market situations due to lower demand and reduced incoming volume of scrap. It has been revamping work flows to cope with the situation and making necessary changes to its business practices to comply with the state orders. In response, it had to lay off some of its staff. In order to ensure that the collected devices are free of virus, the company has been holding them for a few days, instead of directly sending them to sorting units.
