New Sterling Recycling Center in Loudoun County, VA Now Open

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): The new Sterling Recycling Center located in Claude Moore Park is now open. Loudoun County will host a ceremonial ribbon cutting Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to formally mark the start of operations at the new facility.

Members of the public are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new facility, which is located at 46279 West Juniper Avenue in Sterling. The new center replaces the Sterling Park Community Recycling Center that closed permanently in September 2024 due to renovations at Park View High School, where the center was located.

Like Loudoun County’s other public recycling centers, the new Sterling Recycling Center will accept typical household quantities of glass and plastic bottles, cans, jugs, and jars, as well as cardboard and paper.
