Liberty Gold President and CEO Jon Gilligan said inclusion under FAST-41 reflects the project’s maturity and readiness, noting that Black Pine’s status as a brownfield development with extensive environmental baseline work completed positions it well to benefit from the streamlined process.
Idaho Lieutenant Governor Scott Bedke highlighted the project’s economic significance, citing potential job creation, local investment, and long-term benefits for rural communities.
Black Pine is a large-scale oxide gold project designed as a run-of-mine heap-leach operation.
FAST-41 status streamlines federal permitting through coordinated timelines, interagency collaboration, and dedicated project oversight, reducing regulatory delays.
Liberty Gold will begin structured schedule coordination with federal and state agencies within 60 days, followed by publication of a formal permitting timeline.
The project is a brownfield development with extensive environmental baseline studies completed, supporting faster and more efficient regulatory review.
