Copper One President and CEO David Greenway says the inaugural AI-assisted diamond drill hole is an important phase for the project.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Copper One Resources (CSE:CEXY) has commenced drilling its first diamond drill core hole of a 10,000-foot drill program at the Majuba Hill Copper-Silver-Gold Project in Nevada, US, targeting the first artificial intelligence (AI)-designed prospect.
The AI program is designed by ExploreTech, a collaborator Copper One previously worked with at Majuba Hill. ExploreTech is a geoscience technology company specialising in AI-driven subsurface modelling to support drill targeting and geological interpretation.
Copper One President and CEO David Greenway says the inaugural AI-assisted diamond drill hole is an important phase for the project.
“As AI accelerates the buildout of data centers, electrification infrastructure, and next-generation power systems, the need for secure domestic copper supply continues to grow,” Greenway says.
“At Majuba Hill, we are applying advanced AI-driven exploration tools to help refine targeting, improve geological confidence, and guide a disciplined drill program focused on expanding known mineralisation.
“Our objective is to continue advancing this large Nevada copper-silver-gold system toward a future maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) and unlocking its potential as a North American copper exploration asset.”
The first drill hole is planned to extend around 2,500 feet and will test AI-driven geophysical modelling and follow up on historical drill holes.
Copper One’s 2026 drill program is focused on testing priority AI-generated subsurface targets, expanding known mineralised zones, improving geological continuity, evaluating step-out mineralisation potential, and advancing the technical foundation for a future maiden MRE.
The company’s long-term goal is to advance Majuba Hill to a maiden MRE, and believes the use of AI-assisted drill targeting will help identify additional areas of mineralisation while improving confidence in its geological model.
Copper One Resources is advancing copper and copper-silver-gold projects, along with critical minerals assets, in North America to support the growing demand driven by electrification.
