It must be noted that BinderHolz had earlier purchased Klausner Lumber One in Live Oak, Florida in August this year. With this acquisition, the Austrian company has turned out to be the largest sawn timber producer in the European region. It has 9 sawmills spread across Austria, Germany, Finland and the U.S.

Reinhard Binder, CEO, BinderHolz noted that the acquisition is the logical complement to its August 2020 acquisition. The strategic deal will significantly improve the products availability for its customers. Furthermore, it will lay the foundation for further investments in the region, he added.

The Klausner II sawmill has a sawing capacity of nearly 1 million cubic metre and additional processing capacity of over 500,000 cubic metres of planed products.
