By TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices declined on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Monday, July 28, 2025. Stainless Steel scrap prices also recorded decline. The aluminum scrap metal prices held steady over the previous day. Meanwhile, Brass/Bronze and Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on the Index.
Alternator prices reported no change on the Index.
The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.02 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.02 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.02 per Lb.
The #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices witnessed no variation over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices also were flat on the Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.02 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator and Copper Transformer scrap were flat on the Index.
Cu Yokes prices held steady the previous day’s prices.
Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices held steady as of July 28, 2025.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater Cores prices recorded no change over the day.
Romex Wire prices were unchnaged.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units, and Xmas Lights reported no change from the previous day's price levels.
1100 Scrap prices held steady over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap also were flat on the Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe recorded no change over the previous day.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions witnessed no change over the prior day.
Meanwhile, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions were flat when compared with the prior day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe were flat over the day. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady on the Index. Aluminum Transformers prices also were flat over the previous day’s prices. Breakage 50% Recovery prices reported no change as of Monday, July 28, 2025.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices witnessed no variation on the Index.
Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets, and MLC Clips prices were flat when compared with previous day’s price levels.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices also held steady.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC reported no change over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding, and Zorba 90% NF prices also were flat on the Index.
#1 Bundle prices recorded no change.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS reported no change as of July 28, 2025.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady on the Index.
Sheet Metal and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
Shredded Auto Scrap prices were flat on the Index.
201 SS prices held steady on the Index.
301 SS and 304 SS Solid prices inched lower by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.
304 SS Turning prices also were down by $0.01 per Lb as of Monday, July 28, 2025.
309 SS and 310 SS prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively from the previous day.
330 SS prices declined by $0.03 per Lb from the prior day.
Also, 316 SS Solid prices inched lower by $0.01 per Lb on the Index.
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region witnessed no change on the Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap, and Brass Radiator scrap prices were flat as of Monday, July 28, 2025.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices were flat over the previous day's price levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices recorded no change on the Index.
