SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Fire crews responded late Monday night to a reported structure fire at Stoltze Lumber, 600 Halfmoon Road.
The call came in at 11:43 p.m. on August 18, and the first Columbia Falls Fire Department unit arrived on scene at 11:56 p.m., finding active flames in a motor about 30 to 40 feet off the ground.
Crews used a ladder truck to establish an elevated water stream and quickly suppressed the fire. Stoltze employees assisted firefighters by emptying bins of wood shavings to ensure there was no fire extension.
Columbia Falls Fire received automatic mutual aid from Whitefish, Evergreen, and Bad Rock Fire Departments. All units cleared the scene at 12:55 a.m. on August 19.
No injuries were reported.
