SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): EMR- the UK-based leading global metal recycling company announced two key appointments as part of strategic expansion of its UK metal recycling team.
According to company press release, Jonathan Bower has joined the company as Commercial Director. Prior to this, he has spent almost 30 years at ELG Haniel Metals Ltd, in a wide range of roles. He has been serving as the Chief Commercial Officer since 2012. Jonathan will work closely with EMR’s steelworks and foundry customers. He will be responsible for enhancing the company’s relationships with the steelmaking industry and focus on development of sustainable materials for these industries.

Also, Matt Hunt has been appointed as the Regional General Manager-Non Ferrous. He is the formerly Vice President Operations, EMEA for ELG Haniel Metals Ltd. During his tenure with ELG, he has served several trading and commercial management roles. He will now be responsible for the company’s UK non-ferrous commercial activity and operations in the Northern region.
Ian Shepperd, Managing Director of Metal Recycling at EMR welcomed Jonathan and Matt into the EMR family. Their wealth of experience in the metal recycling industry will prove invaluable to the company in the years to come, he added.
