SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Eldorado Gold Corporation announced preliminary gold production of 122,644 ounces in Q4 2021 and 475,912 ounces for the full-year 2021. This compares with 138,220 ounces and 528,874 ounces of gold production in Q4 2020 and full year 2020 respectively.
The yearly output from the company’s four operating mines touched the upper end of their revised production guidance. Eldorado Gold had revised its previous full year 2021 guidance in October last year to 430,000-460,000 ounces.
The higher than planned gold grades in the C4 zone drove gold production at Lamaque during the fourth quarter. The mine’s Q4 and full-year 2021output totalled 51,354 ounces and 153,201 ounces respectively. The Kisladag mine in Turkey recorded strong production, in line with plan. At Efemcukuru, gold production, throughput, and average gold grade were in line with expectations. Meantime, Olympias, Greece mine delivered the strongest quarter of the year, said the press release.
The company announced appointment of Carissa Browning to its Board of Directors and the promotion of Graham Morrison to the role of Vice President, Corporate Development.
