DS Smith's innovative Packaging Solutions Win Top Accolades

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster):  DS Smith- the leading European packaging provider won three awards at the 2020 WorldStar Packaging Awards. The three innovative packaging solutions were selected from among 321 packaging projects from as many as 36 countries across the world.

The award-wining projects are The Tuorekartano Oy potato fridge-box, The Maggi ‘Food Travel’ display and The Red Bull Event car.

The Tuorekartano Oy potato fridge-box, designed by the DS Smith Finish team in partnership with Tuorekartano Oy, is a plastic replacement solution for potato bags. The Maggi ‘Food Travel’ display was developed by DS Smith German packaging strategists as a pre-stocked point of sale (POS) display mechanism for trendy ready meals. The Red Bull Event car is a corrugated cardboard 3D display that aims to promote the brand’s equity attributes.

Alessandro Fulvi, Marketing Director at DS Smith stated that the company is highly honoured by getting recognized for three of its recent customer collaborations. The awards recognize the company’s ongoing to commitment to sustainability and innovation. DS Smith will continue to deliver new solutions to meet ever-changing customer demands and behaviours, he added. 

The awards will be presented during a ceremony to be held on Friday, 8 May 2020.
