DS Smith Wins Prestigious Awards at Prize Pack 2021

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): DS Smith Bulgaria was honoured with two awards at the prestigious Prize Pack 2021 competition. The sustainable packaging leader won the awards for its innovative packaging solutions for the food industry. The award winning packaging solutions replaces plastic by using 100% recycled materials. Moreover, they are 100% recyclable too, said the company press release.

The first packaging to win the award was a box made with corrugated cardboard, which could fit with two heights for four bottles. The automatic bottom for fast folding and packaging makes it unique and suitable for online deliveries. It ensures easy opening, safe closing and much reduced logistics costs.

The second was a corrugated packaging solution for discounted fruit and vegetables. The 100% recyclable boxes offer clear visibility of the contents of the box. Furthermore, it offers infinite possibilities for customization. In addition, this packaging enables easy opening and safe closing with automatic bottom for fast folding, thereby avoiding the use of foil and Styrofoam trays.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the company has won the prestigious industry award organized by Food Industry Cooperative Magazine.
