North American Scrap Metal Prices See Mixed Trend on the Index- June 29, 2026

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices witnessed a mixed trend on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Monday, June 29, 2026. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices registered an increase, whereas Aluminum and Stainless Steel scrap prices declined on the Index. In the meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady over the previous day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap recorded no change over the previous day.

The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing increased by $0.05 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.05 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged higher by $ 0.05 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices witnessed an increase of $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were also up by $0.02 per Lb on the Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices recorded an increase of $0.05 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap recorded a jump of $0.02 per Lb on the Index.

Copper Transformer Scrap prices were flat over the previous day’s price.

Cu Yokes, Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators, and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices remained stable as of June 29, 2026.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Romex Wire prices inched higher by $0.02 per Lb over the day.

Heater Cores prices were up by $0.01 per Lb on the Index.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units, and Xmas Lights reported no variation from the previous day’s price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, 6063 Extrusions, 5052 Scrap, and 6061 Extrusions recorded declines by $0.01 per Lb when compared with the prior day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged as of June 29, 2026.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by $0.02 per Lb on the Index.

Chrome Wheels and Litho Sheets prices declined by $0.01 per Lb each.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices remained unchanged.

MLC Clips, Old Cast, UBC, Old Sheet, Painted Siding, and Zorba 90% NF prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle and #1 Busheling prices held steady on the Index.

The prices of #1 HMS were unmoved as of June 29, 2026.

HMS 80/20, Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap, and Structural Steel saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices reported noi variation on the Index.

301 SS, 304 SS Solid, 304 SS Turning, and 309SS prices were down by $0.01 per Lb as of June 29, 2026.

310 SS prices saw a decline of $0.02 per Lb from the previous day’s level.

Also, 316 SS Solid and 330 SS prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb and $0.03 per Lb respectively on the Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region witnessed increase on the Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap, and Brass Radiator scrap prices were up by $0.0`2 per Lb each as of Monday, June 29, 2026.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices held steady when compared with the previous day's price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings, and Yellow Brass prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb on the Index.
