Aluminum scrap prices registered a steady uptick across multiple categories as of April 13, 2026.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): Chinese scrap metal prices largely trended higher on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Monday, April 13, 2026.
Copper, aluminum, and brass/bronze scrap categories posted day-over-day gains, whereas steel and stainless steel scrap prices held firm on the Index.
Copper scrap prices recorded broad-based gains on Monday, April 13, 2026.
#1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing surged by CNY 1,200 per MT each compared to the previous day, while #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also advanced by CNY 1,200 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire (85% recovery) climbed by CNY 600 per MT, and #2 Insulated Copper Wire (50% recovery) rose by CNY 200 per MT.
Elsewhere in the copper segment, gains were more moderate, with Cu Yokes edging up by CNY 50 per MT. Copper Transformer scrap prices also edged higher by CNY 50 per MT on the Index.
Cu/Al Radiator scrap increased by CNY 200 per MT, while Harness Wire (35% recovery) inched higher by CNY 50 per MT. Heater Cores posted a gain of CNY 450 per MT.
Meanwhile, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed a slight upward movement of CNY 50 per MT each on the Index.
Overall, the copper scrap market extended the gains recorded during the previous day, rising further.

6063 Extrusions recorded a gain of CNY 100 per MT compared to the previous day, while Aluminum Ingots also moved higher by CNY 100 per MT. E.C Aluminum Wire prices followed a similar trend, inching up by CNY 100 per MT on the Index.
Old Cast and Old Sheet categories likewise advanced by CNY 100 per MT each.
Meanwhile, Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers posted moderate gains of CNY 50 per MT apiece. UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices also edged higher, rising by CNY 50 per MT from the prior day’s levels.
Overall, the aluminum scrap segment demonstrated a consistent upward movement, with most grades recording incremental price increases.
