BEIJING (Scrap Monster): Chinese scrap metal prices posted a mixed trend on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Thursday, July 30, 2026.

• Copper: Slightly down on the Index

• Aluminum: Broad-based jump across all categories

• Brass/Bronze: Witnessed no variation

• Stainless Steel: Flat trend

• Steel: Remained stable without any change

Copper Scrap Prices

Copper scrap prices on the ScrapMonster Price Index recorded a slight decline across select grades on Thursday, July 30, 2026, compared with the previous day.

·         #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing: down by CNY 150 per MT each

·         #2 Copper Wire and Tubing: inched lower by CNY 150 per MT

·         #1 Insulated Copper Wire (85% Recovery): saw a dip of CNY 50 per MT

·         #2 Insulated Copper Wire (50% Recovery), Copper Transformer Scrap, Cu Yokes, Cu/Al Radiators, Heater Cores, Harness Wire (35% Recovery), Scrap Electric Motors, and Sealed Units: recorded no fluctuation in prices

Aluminum Scrap Prices

Aluminum scrap prices on the ScrapMonster Price Index moved higher across all categories on July 30, 2026, reflecting a broad-based day-on-day jump.

·         6063 Aluminum Extrusions and Aluminum Ingots: increased by CNY 150 per metric ton each

·         Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers: edged higher by CNY 50 per metric ton each

·         E.C. Aluminum Wire, Old Cast, Old Sheet: recorded a rise of CNY 150 per metric ton

·         Used Beverage Cans (UBC) and Zorba 90% INF: posted comparatively smaller jumps of CNY 50 per metric ton each

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady as of July 30, 2026.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

Stainless steel scrap prices on the ScrapMonster Price Index registered no variation across key grades on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

• 201 SS, 304 SS Solid, 304 SS Turning, 309 SS: remained unchanged

• 310 SS, 316 SS Solid, Shredded Stainless Steel: held steady
