SAIL to increase coking coal imports by over 60 pct

NEW DELHI (Scrap Monster): SAIL (Steel Authority of India) decided to increase the coking coal imports by more than 60pct with in next two years as they expand its steel production capacity.

SAIL, the largest steel producing company in the country is also boosting its hot metal production capacity to about 23 million tonnes by the year 2015.

At present, the hot metal production capacity of the company is about 14 million tonnes.
