Perth Mint issued new silver and gold coins, Treasures of the World Series as to honor Australia’s rich gold collection.

PERTH (Scrap Monster): Perth Mint issued new silver and gold coins, Treasures of the World Series as to honor Australia’s rich gold collection. The new silver and coins contain a transparent locket at the centre which is encased with 0.2 gm. gold balls.
The mintage of one ounce 2014 Australian Treasures of the World Gold Locket Coin is limited to 750 pieces and one ounce 2014 Australian Treasures of the World Silver Locket Coin has a larger mintage of 7,500 pieces. Each silver and gold coin bears the design on the reverse figures a traditional outback image with a kangaroo and native plants.
These coins are kept in a Perth Mint display case with a wooden top with a figure of a shipper. Initial pricing for the gold coin is AUS $2,513.64, or US $2,333.33, with the silver coin offered for AUS $107.73, or US $99.81.
