More than 2,000 years old Roman and Late Iron Age coins were discovered from the cave in Dovedale by a group of archaeologists.

LONDON (Scrap Monster): More than 2,000 years old Roman and Late Iron Age coins were discovered from the cave in Dovedale by a group of archaeologists.
It is said that the discovery of the roman coins are expected to give answers for many unanswered historical questions.
“Although this is a much smaller hoard than the similar finds made at Hallaton in 2000, this has been declared treasure and is an exciting discovery given the puzzling location in a cave and the fact that it lies beyond the main circulation area of the coinage,” British Museum’s curator of Iron Age and Roman coins, Ian Leins, said.
A per the media report, the discovered cache, 26 coins, including three Roman coins are believed to be circulated before the invasion of Britain in AD 43, and 20 other gold and silver coins which are Late Iron Age and believed it belong to the Corieltavi tribe.
The rare coins have been declared as a treasure by authorities.
