NEW DELHI (Scrap Monster): Odisha based Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), a developing Steel Melting shop made one more forward step by making a single day highest billet production of about 789.20 tonne on May 8, 2014 and its previous record was about 700 tonne on December 16, 2013. This increased production was due to the making of 8 heats on the same day, that also a highest number of heats per day. Previously it was 7 heats.
So far, the company had commissioned its Ladle Heating Furnace on May 2nd 2014 which was a milestone in the company’s history. This made a great impact in the increased quantitative and qualitative production of steel billets. NINL Company is situated at the Kalinganagar Industrial Complex in Odisha.
The steel billet manufactured in NINL has a distinct demand in the market as the quality of the billet from the company is well accepted. This resulted in the reception of bulk orders for steel billets from SAIL and other largest Indian steel makers. Some Re-rollers also have approached the company for making a MoU to convert steel billets into better NSR production like TMT Bars, Wire Rods etc.
