SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly price trends of scrap aluminium across worldwide markets for the period from 31st May to 6th June, 2024 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
The prices, in general, witnessed downward trend. However, a few categories held on to their previous week’s prices.
6063 Extrusions/Fe recorded biggest decline in prices over the week, edging down from $0.72 per Lb to $0.70 per Lb. The prices of 6061 Extrusions and Zorba 90% NF too recorded significant decline, falling by 2.67% and 2.63% respectively.

Meantime, E.C.Aluminum Wire, 5052 Scrap, 6063 Extrusions, Litho Sheets, 1100 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean) and MLC Clips recorded least decline in prices over the week.
6063 Extrusions/Fe prices recorded biggest dip over the week, registering 2.78% decline from $0.72 per Lb to $0.70 per Lb. A notable weekly decline by 2.67% and 2.63% was seen in 6061 Extrusions and Zorba 90% NF prices.
The scrap aluminium categories that recorded nominal decline in prices included E.C.Aluminum Wire, 5052 Scrap, 6063 Extrusions, Litho Sheets, 1100 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean) and MLC Clips.
Meantime, prices of Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery held steady on Index.
The aluminium scrap prices in the region mostly edged lower over the previous week. The top three losers were 6063 Extrusions/Fe, 6061 Extrusions and Zorba 90% NF.
The 6063 Extrusions/Fe prices ended the week at $0.69 per Lb, down from the previous week price of $0.71 per Lb.
Also, the week witnessed dip in prices of 6061 Extrusions and Zorba 90% NF to $0.72 per Lb and $0.73 per Lb respectively.

The aluminium scrap metal prices in the region remained weak, with prices of all except a few categories recording week-on-week decline.
The scrap categories to dip the most were 6063 Extrusions/Fe and 6061 Extrusions, whose prices recorded sharp decline by 2.74% and 2.63% respectively over the previous week. Zorba 90% NF prices recorded fall from $0.76 per Lb to $0.743 per Lb.

Meantime, prices of Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery recorded no change over the week.
The Chinese aluminum scrap prices inched lower over the week.
E.C. Aluminum Wire scrap saw its prices decline from CNY 20,500 per MT to CNY 20,200 per MT during the week.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too were down by 1.05% each.
Meantime, 6063 Extrusions prices dipped from CNY 19,200 a week before to CNY 19,000, falling by 1.04% over the week.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Transformers, UBC, Zorba 90% NF and Aluminum Ingots too registered week-on-week decline.
The Aluminum utensil scrap prices recorded decline by 2.53%, falling to INR 231,000 per Ton during the week ended 6th June, 2024.

The prices of Aluminum ingots too were down during the week.
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) held steady during the week.
Meantime, the closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,644.00 per tonne as on 6th June, 2024. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract edged higher from $2,577 a day before to $2,587 per tonne.
The LME Aluminum stocks declined over the previous day to close at 1,107,500 tonnes on 6th June, 2024, as compared with 1,111,300 tonnes on 5th June, 2024.
