Aluminum Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report- July 4, 2025

The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase to $2,604.00 when compared with $2,602.00 per tonne a day before.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly trend in aluminium scrap prices across worldwide aluminum scrap metal markets for the period from June 27 to July 3, 2025 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
North America Prices
The regional aluminum scrap prices mostly remained unchanged over the prior week. Only Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe recorded increase.
Al/Cu Radiators/Fe prices witnessed a marginal increase of 1.49%. The prices of the commodity edged higher from $2.01 per Lb at the start of the week to $2.04 per Lb by the end of the week.
The graph provided below depicts the weekly price movement in Al/Cu Radiators/Fe:
6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, and 3003 Scrap prices witnessed no change from the prior week.
There was no variation in prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe and Aluminum Radiators/Fe.
Also, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery, Chrome Wheels and Mixed Aluminum Turnings held steady on the Index during the week ended July 3, 2025.
No change in price was seen in MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF.
The regional scrap aluminum prices recorded no variation in prices, except for Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe.
The price of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe recorded a jump from $2.01 per Lb to close the week at $2.04 per Lb. The commodity’s prices registered week-on-week increase by 1.49%. Also, Al/Cu Radiators prices edged higher by 1.35% week-on-week.
The prices of all other scrap aluminum commodities in the region held steady.
Only Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe in the region witnessed increase in prices during the week ended July 3, 2025.
Al/Cu Radiators/Fe prices were up marginally by 1.51% during the course of the week. The prices of the commodity increased from $1.99 to $2.02 per pound.
Al/Cu Radiators ended the week at $2.23 per pound, recording an increase of 1.36% from the prior week.
The prices of all other commodities were flat on the Index.
The scrap commodities that remained constant during the week included 6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery, Chrome Wheels, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF.

The scrap aluminum prices in the region recorded no variation in prices, except for Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe.
The price of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe recorded an increase from $2.03 per Lb to close the week at $2.06 per Lb. The commodity’s prices registered week-on-week jump by 1.48%. The prices of Al/Cu Radiators also increased by 1.34% week-on-week.
The prices of all other scrap aluminum commodities in the region held steady.

A few aluminum scrap commodities in the region reported jump in prices during the week ending July 3, 2025. Others held steady on the Index.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices increased the most, rising by 0.55% each. The prices of both the above commodities ended the week at CNY 18,400 per MT.
Aluminum Radiators and Zorba 90% NF prices were up by 0.52% and 0.51% respectively.
6063 Extrusions prices recorded an increase of 0.54%.
The E.C. Aluminum Wire prices up by 0.51% each.
The least increase in prices was seen in Aluminum Ingots, whose prices were up by 0.48% during the week ended July 3, 2025. The prices ended the week at CNY 20,850 per MT, when compared with CNY 20,750 per MT at the beginning of the week. The below chart depicts the weekly price variation in the prices of the commodity:
Meanwhile, the prices of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Transformers, UBC and Zorba 90% NF witnessed no variation from the week before that.
The Aluminum utensil scrap prices were up by 2.10% during the week. The prices edged higher from INR 238,000 per Ton to INR 243,000 per Ton on the ScrapMonster Index. The weekly price chart of Aluminum utensil scrap is provided below:
The Aluminum ingots prices also recorded increase, with prices witnessing a week-on-week jump by INR 5,000 per Ton.
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) witnessed no change during the week.
LME Aluminum Market Update
The closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,609.00 per tonne as of July 3, 2025. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase to $2,604.00 when compared with $2,602.00 per tonne a day before.
The LME Aluminum stocks inched higher modestly over the previous day to close at 356,975 tonnes as of July 3, 2025, as compared with 356,625 tonnes a day before.
