23rd August, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dipped on the Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices recorded decline on the ScrapMonster Price Index  as of Friday, August 23^rd, 2024. Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices remained unchanged over the previous day. Copper and Aluminum scrap prices recorded decline.  Brass/Bronze scrap prices too witnessed dip from the previous day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices dipped by CNY 450 per MT over the previous day.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing too saw price decline of CNY 450 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 450 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices inched lower by CNY 200 per MT on the Index. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices registered no change over the prior day.

Cu/Al Radiator prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on the Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices recorded no variation as of Friday, August 23^rd, 2024.

Heater Cores prices declined by CNY 150 per MT over the prior day.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices were flat on the Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed marginal decline by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 50 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dipped by CNY 50 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too were down by CNY 50 per MT each as of Friday, 23^rd August, 2024.

The prices UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady as of 23^rd August, 2024.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning saw no change on the Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices held steady when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices recorded no change as of August 23^rd, 2024.

Shred SS prices too saw no variation in prices over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China posted decline on the Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 50 per MT as of Friday, August 23^rd, 2024.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too recorded decline by CNY 100 per MT each on the Index.
