15th April, 2024: North American Scrap Metal Prices Posted Notable Surge on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper and aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on April 15^th, 2024, Monday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index when matched with the day before.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap edged higher by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.09 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.09 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.09 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.09 per Lb.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.03 per Lb.

Copper Transformer Scrap prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. CuYokes prices increased by $0.01 per Lb. Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices witnessed no change from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe were up by $0.03 per Lb each on April 15^th, 2024.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices rose by $0.02 per Lb.

Heater cores prices were unchanged on Index.

Romex Wire prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Xmas Lights, Sealed units and Starters inched higher by $.01 per Lb  from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6061 Extrusions too were up by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions increased by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6063 Extrusions were up by $0.01 per Lb each when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe increased by $0.03 per Lb over the day. Aluminum Radiators prices were up by $0.02 per Lb. Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady on Index. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices too were unchanged on April 15^th, 2024.

Chrome Wheels, E.C Aluminum Wire and Litho Sheets prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

MLC Clips surged by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices were flat on Index.

The prices of Old Cast, UBC, Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF were up by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 15^th April, 2024.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on April 15^th, 2024.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices surged higher by $0.03 per Lb each on April 15^th, 2024.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb from prior day.

Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.03 per Lb each on Index.
