13th June, 2023: North American Scrap Metal Prices Surged on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices continued to surge higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on 13th June, 2023. Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Meantime, Aluminum and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index when matched with the day before.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.08 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.08 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.08 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.08 per Lb.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.02 per Lb.

Copper Transformer Scrap prices were flat on Index. CuYokes prices were unchanged from the previous day.

The prices of Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe witnessed no change on June 13^th, 2023.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Romex Wire prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

The price of Heater Cores edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Xmas Lights, Sealed units and Starters recorded no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on June 13^th, 2023.

Chrome Wheels remained flat on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady over the previous day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

 Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 13^th June, 2023.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices reported no change.

301 SS and 304 SS Solid prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

304 SS Turning too were up by $0.01 per Lb in prices on June 13^th, 2023.

309 SS and 310 SS prices increased by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were up by $0.03 per Lb from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too surged higher by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each on June 13^th, 2023.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices witnessed no change on Index.

Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.
