Amidst continuing tensions with Ukraine, a Russian private mint has unveiled a new silver coin, embossing Russian President Vladimir Putin's portrait on the reverse as celebrating the memory of Crimea’s annexation to Russia’s territory.

MOSCOW (Scrap Monster): Amidst continuing tensions with Ukraine, a Russian private mint has unveiled a new silver coin, embossing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s portrait on the reverse as celebrating the memory of Crimea’s annexation to Russia’s territory.  The new silver con’s obverse bears the map of Crimea.

As per the media report, the new coin weighs one kilogram and its mintage capacity is limited to 500 silver coins. The mint officials said that they would not provide notes to commemorate Crimea but only coins. They have been planning to gift to Russian government officials.

According to Mr. Vladimir Vasyukhinsaid, the director of the mint in Yekaterinburg, the 925 grade silver coins has issued in memory of heroic move of Russia to seize Crimea from Ukraine amidst wide protests from the world nations.
