Will County, IL’s “Recyclepalooza” Kicks Off Fall Recycling Schedule

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Will County’s Resource Recovery & Energy Division has released its Fall 2025 Will County Green recycling and collection event schedule. The schedule includes collection events for electronics, household items, household hazardous waste, motor oil, scrap metal, and other items.

“These are some of our most popular events of the year, offering an opportunity for residents to responsibly dispose of household items and help keep items out of landfills,” said Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant. “This is a great time to clean out the closet or garage to find those unwanted items for recycling or reuse.”

Coinciding with the Fall schedule, Will County has also launched a “Caps On” campaign to bring attention to the importance of recycling plastic bottles, tubs, and jugs. The campaign is aimed at raising awareness that caps are allowed on plastic items when they are recycled, a reversal of outdated education that instructed people to add them to the garbage.
