Hulladek Recycling Collected More Than 4,000 Kilograms of E-Waste

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, Eastern India’s fastest-growing e-waste management company, has collected more than 4000 kgs of e-waste from more than 500 households in South Bengal during the festive seasons of Durga Puja and Diwali. The company, which is headquartered in Kolkata, has a collection network of e-waste across 24 cities in 18 states of the country at present and plans to increase its collection points across all states of India.

Last month, Hulladek launched a nation-wide e-waste collection drive, named the Festive Edit in association with more than 20 sustainable organizations like Paschim Bengal Pradeshnik Marwari Mahila Sammelan, Inner Wheel Club, and others. The objective was not only to organise a nationwide e-waste collection drive but also to create awareness amongst the masses regarding the imperativeness of a greener and cleaner world.

“During the festivals, we do clean our homes and get rid of all kinds of waste. It is important that this waste is recycled in a proper manner, especially e-waste. Hence, we started this nationwide initiative in association with our partner organisations. We are overwhelmed with the response that we have received from the residents of South Bengal, namely, Durgapur, Asansol, Raniganj, Neyamatpur, etc. I congratulate the people of South Bengal for making ‘Festive Edit’ a grand success,” said Mr. Nandan Mall, Chairman and Managing Director, Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd.

Established in 2015, Hulladek Recycling Private Limited is One of the top 5 PROs (Producer Responsibility Organisation) in the country and already manages the e-waste of corporates like Tata Steel, Pepsico, Nestle India, Indusind Bank, Mondelez International, etc. India is the fifth largest e-waste producer globally and with over 80% of the e-waste in India managed by the informal sector, the scope of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) & Producer Responsibility Organisations (PRO) is bound to increase in the coming days.
