SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): CP Group (CPG), a leader in custom recycling facilities and sorting equipment, has completed a 1.07 MW rooftop solar installation by HOLT Renewables, a leader in design-build services for commercial-scale renewable energy infrastructure. The project transforms more than 80,000 square feet of unused roof space at CPG’s manufacturing facility into a clean energy asset that will deliver long-term savings and sustainability benefits.

The system, made up of over 2,000 solar panels, is expected to generate 1.7 million kilowatt-hours annually, offsetting nearly 70% of CPG’s electrical consumption. Over 30 years, this translates to more than $10 million in energy cost savings while substantially reducing the company’s carbon footprint. “Partnering with HOLT Renewables enables us to lower our operating costs and reduce our environmental impact,” said Michael Whitney, CPG VP Operations. “This project shows our commitment to sustainability and innovation in our industry.”

HOLT Renewables served as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner, managing the project from design through installation. Since its founding in 2012, HOLT Renewables has maintained a perfect safety record with zero recordable incidents, underscoring its commitment to delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently. “This project highlights how companies can capture both financial and environmental value,” said Kevin Chavez, HOLT Renewables General Manager. “We are proud to support CPG’s sustainability goals and demonstrate the real-world impact of commercial solar.
