Bruin Waste Management Expands and Strengthens Leadership Team

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Bruin Waste Management, an integrated solid waste management firm serving communities across the western slope of Colorado, is proud to announce changes to its management leadership team. In announcing the changes Jeffrey D. Kendall, current CEO of Bruin and Managing Director of Laurel Mountain Partners, the owner of Bruin, shared “We are entering a critical phase of growth and investment as we work to integrate recent acquisitions and focus on growth initiatives including greater recycling and composting to better serve our communities. Now is the time to grow and strengthen Bruin’s leadership team”.

Jeff R. Kendall assumes the role of President and CEO. He brings a proven track record of driving operational excellence and strategic growth. During his career at Chevron, he showed exceptional leadership as an engineer running large projects and as an operations manager. His experience positions him to be a valuable leader for Bruin. With a background in mechanical engineering and a black belt in Lean Six Sigma, he is well-equipped to lead Bruin Waste into its next chapter.

With a 25-year tenure at Bruin, Chris Trosper ascends to the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). His dedication and experience will allow him to seamlessly oversee all day-to-day operational functions while continuing to drive efficiency throughout the organization. Robert Kendall assumes the position of VP of Sales and Market Development leveraging his extensive sales background and deep understanding of the waste management industry. His journey in sales began in insurance before transitioning to the waste industry, where he held sales and leadership roles with Dumpster Market and Waste Connections. His experience positions him as a valuable asset in driving continued growth and market expansion for Bruin.

Current CEO and Chairman, Jeffrey D. Kendall assumes the role of executive chairman for the firm, adding to his proven track record of success as the past CEO of several Liberty Waste Companies, Liberty Tire Recycling, Pro Disposal, and Lewis Clark Waste & Recycling. Bruin Waste’s mission is to be a legacy waste management business that is best in class on all fronts: safety, equipment, workforce, and customer focus. Its goal is to be the largest independent waste hauler on the Western Slope of Colorado, known for high quality service and dedication to giving back to the communities it serves.
