By keeping devices in circulation through repair and refurbishment, the company makes the most out of the resources, while reducing electronic waste. The American households are estimated to contain more than 100 million devices. The BuyBack program aims to get more of these items back into circulation.
Upon completion of assessment of their devices, the customers would begin to receive bids from Back Markets’s refurbishers. The customers have to mail their devices to the refurbisher. Upon confirmation that the received device is as described in the assessment, the agreed amount will be transferred to the customer’s bank account directly.
