SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Alpine Lumber announced its decision to build a new lumber yard in Silverthorne, Summit County. The new facility is expected to open by late April next year.
The facility will be built on 6-acre property at 240 S. Adams Ave. and will feature an indoor lumber yard, in addition to storage spaces for materials during spring, summer and fall. The concrete has been poured and the work is expected to gain momentum in the forthcoming weeks, said Hamid Tama, President, Alpine Lumber.

Previously, the company could service Summit County only through lumber yards in Eagle, Buena Vista, Grandby or Steamboat Springs. The new facility could ensure access to the region, thereby filling the missing link in the market. It must be noted that Alpine Lumber operates 19 lumber yards across Colorado and northern New Mexico.
Alpine Lumber expects to offer new shopping experience to professional contractors in Summit County. The company plans to hire employees from local community as the project approaches completion. It plans to host a grand opening ceremony, once it becomes ready to open.
Mark Leidal, Assistant Town Manager noted that the new lumber yard will offer quality services to regional construction industry.
