16th September, 2022: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Recorded Mixed Trend on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices registered mixed trend on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 16^th, Wednesday. Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Aluminum scrap prices edged higher. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down sharply by CNY 1,000 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined heavily by CNY 1,000 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 500 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a down move of $ 200 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices were down by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

Cu Yokes and Harness Wire 35% Recovery scrap prices were down by CNY 100 per MT each.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices inched lower by CNY 200 per MT.

Heater Cores prices too declined by CNY 400 per MT on Friday, September 16^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed decline by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were up by CNY 150 per MT.

Aluminum Radiators and Transformers prices inched higher by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices jumped higher by CNY 150 per MT.

The prices of Old Sheet and Old Cast witnessed rise of CNY 150 per MT each on September 16^th, 2022.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90% NF scrap prices were up by CNY 150 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 16^th September, 2022.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 304 SS Solid scrap prices witnessed decline by CNY 150 per MT and CNY 200 per MT respectively on Index.

304 SS Turning prices dropped by CNY 200 per MT over the day.

309 SS and 310 SS prices too were down by CNY 300 per MT and CNY 400 per MT respectively on 16^th September, 2022, when compared with the prior day.

316 SS and Shred SS prices were down by CNY 300 per MT and CNY 200 per MT respectively on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 150 per MT on September 16^th, 2022.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too dropped by CNY 200 per MT each on Index.
